Adult CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) is an emergency lifesaving procedure performed when an adult's breathing or heartbeat has stopped, involving chest compressions and rescue breaths to maintain circulation and oxygenation.
Expertise Level
Level 1
Basic
1. Understands the basic purpose and importance of Adult CPR.
2. Can recognize when an adult requires CPR.
3. Knows how to call emergency services before starting CPR.
Level 2
Intermediate
1. Can perform proper chest compressions at the correct depth and rate on an adult.
2. Can deliver effective rescue breaths using appropriate technique.
3. Able to coordinate compressions and breaths according to CPR guidelines.
Level 3
Advanced
1. Can recognize and manage complications during Adult CPR.
2. Able to use advanced equipment like automated external defibrillators (AED) correctly.
3. Can train or guide others effectively in performing Adult CPR.
