Definition
Catalysis (การเร่งปฏิกิริยา) Hard Skill
Catalysis is the process of increasing the rate of a chemical reaction by using a substance called a catalyst, which is not consumed in the reaction and lowers the activation energy required.
Expertise Level
Level 1
Basic
1. Understands the basic concept of catalysts and their role in chemical reactions.
2. Can identify common catalysts used in simple reactions.
3. Recognizes the difference between catalyzed and uncatalyzed reactions.
Level 2
Intermediate
1. Explains the mechanism of catalysis including how catalysts lower activation energy.
2. Applies catalysis concepts to analyze reaction rates in laboratory experiments.
3. Distinguishes between homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysis.
Level 3
Advanced
1. Designs catalytic processes to optimize industrial chemical reactions.
2. Evaluates catalyst performance and stability under various reaction conditions.
3. Researches and develops novel catalysts with improved efficiency and selectivity.
