The knowledge and skills required to safely handle, store, and dispose of chemicals while following safety protocols and regulatory guidelines.
Expertise Level
Level 1
Basic
1. Understands basic chemical properties and hazards.
2. Familiar with standard personal protective equipment (PPE).
3. Can follow simple instructions for chemical use and storage.
Level 2
Intermediate
1. Able to safely handle and transfer chemicals using appropriate techniques.
2. Understands Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and applies safety measures accordingly.
3. Can identify and respond to minor chemical spills or exposure.
Level 3
Advanced
1. Expert in handling hazardous chemicals and managing chemical waste disposal.
2. Can design and implement chemical safety protocols and emergency response plans.
3. Trains others on correct chemical handling procedures and compliance with regulations.
