The process of examining electrical circuits to understand their behavior, calculate voltage, current, and power, and predict performance under various conditions.
Expertise Level
Level 1
Basic
1. Understands basic electrical components like resistors, capacitors, and inductors.
2. Can apply Ohm’s Law to simple circuits.
3. Able to perform basic calculations of voltage, current, and resistance.
Level 2
Intermediate
1. Analyzes series and parallel circuits including combinations of components.
2. Applies Kirchhoff’s Voltage and Current Laws to solve circuit problems.
3. Uses techniques such as Thevenin’s and Norton’s theorems for circuit simplification.
