DMAIC is a data-driven quality strategy used for improving processes, which stands for Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control. It provides a structured approach to problem-solving and process enhancement.
Expertise Level
Level 1
Basic
1. Understands the five phases of DMAIC and their purposes.
2. Can participate in Define and Measure phases with guidance.
3. Recognizes basic process problems suitable for DMAIC.
Level 2
Intermediate
1. Can lead Measure and Analyze phases to collect and interpret data.
2. Uses basic DMAIC tools such as process mapping and cause analysis.
3. Identifies root causes of problems and contributes to improvement planning.
Level 3
Advanced
1. Can independently lead all DMAIC phases to drive process improvements.
2. Applies advanced statistical and quality tools for deep analysis.
3. Develops sustainable control plans to maintain improvements over time.
