The practice of using software or hardware systems to replicate aircraft flight and cockpit environment for training, research, or entertainment purposes.
Expertise Level
Level 1
Basic
1. Understands the basic controls and functions of flight simulation software.
2. Can operate a flight simulator to perform simple flight maneuvers.
3. Familiar with standard aviation terminology and cockpit layout.
Level 2
Intermediate
1. Can simulate complex flight scenarios including navigation and emergency procedures.
2. Knows how to configure simulation parameters for different aircraft types and conditions.
3. Able to analyze simulator data to assess flight performance.
