Flooring refers to the process and skill of installing various types of floor coverings, such as tiles, wood, vinyl, or carpet, to create durable and aesthetically pleasing surfaces.
Expertise Level
Level 1
Basic
1. Can prepare surfaces by cleaning and measuring areas for flooring installation.
2. Understands basic types of flooring materials and their uses.
3. Can assist in cutting and placing simple floor coverings under supervision.
Level 2
Intermediate
1. Can independently install common flooring types such as laminate, vinyl, or tile.
2. Able to accurately measure, cut, and fit materials to complex or irregular spaces.
3. Understands proper adhesion and finishing techniques for durability.
Level 3
Advanced
1. Can manage and execute flooring projects from planning to finishing, including selecting appropriate materials.
2. Able to work with specialized and custom flooring systems, including underfloor heating or decorative inlays.
3. Expertise in troubleshooting installation issues and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
