Mechanics is the branch of physics concerned with the behavior of physical bodies when subjected to forces or displacements, and the subsequent effects of the bodies on their environment.

1. Understands fundamental concepts such as force, motion, and energy.
2. Can apply basic principles of mechanics to simple problems.
3. Recognizes different types of forces and simple mechanical systems.
Level 2
Intermediate
1. Analyzes motion using Newton’s laws and applies principles to various mechanical systems.
2. Calculates forces, torque, and energy in dynamic situations.
3. Understands concepts of equilibrium, friction, and simple harmonic motion.

Advanced
1. Applies advanced mechanics theories including rigid body dynamics and fluid mechanics.
2. Solves complex problems involving multi-body systems and non-linear behaviors.
3. Designs and evaluates mechanical systems incorporating material properties and environmental factors.
