Spot welding is a manufacturing process in which contacting metal surfaces are joined by the heat obtained from resistance to electric current flow. It is commonly used for joining sheet metal in automotive and industrial applications.

1. Understands basic principles of spot welding equipment and safety procedures.
2. Can prepare materials and set up simple spot welding tasks under supervision.
3. Able to perform spot welding on simple joints with guidance.
