The ability to architect and plan complex systems by understanding requirements, defining components, and ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
Expertise Level
Level 1
Basic
1. Understands fundamental concepts of system components and architecture.
2. Can describe simple system designs and their purposes.
3. Recognizes common design patterns and terminology.
Level 2
Intermediate
1. Can design moderately complex systems addressing functional and non-functional requirements.
2. Applies design principles to balance scalability, reliability, and performance.
3. Able to identify trade-offs and constraints in system architecture.
Level 3
Advanced
1. Designs highly scalable and fault-tolerant systems with clear architectural documentation.
2. Integrates multiple subsystems and technologies effectively.
3. Anticipates future requirements and plans for system evolution and maintainability.
