Mindfulness is the practice of maintaining a focused awareness on the present moment, calmly acknowledging and accepting one's feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations without judgment.
Expertise Level
Level 1
Basic
1. Recognizes the importance of being present in the moment.
2. Can focus attention for short periods without distraction.
3. Begins to notice personal thoughts and feelings without immediate reaction.
Level 2
Intermediate
1. Maintains sustained attention with reduced distraction.
2. Practices non-judgmental awareness of emotions and thoughts during stressful situations.
3. Uses mindfulness techniques to improve emotional regulation.
Level 3
Advanced
1. Applies mindfulness consistently in daily life and challenging circumstances.
2. Demonstrates deep self-awareness and emotional resilience.
3. Leverages mindfulness to enhance interpersonal relationships and decision-making.
