Usability Testing is the process of evaluating a product or system by testing it with representative users to identify usability issues and improve user experience.
Expertise Level
Level 1
Basic
1. Understands the basic concepts and purpose of usability testing.
2. Can assist in setting up simple usability test sessions.
3. Able to observe and record user interactions under supervision.
Level 2
Intermediate
1. Able to design and conduct usability tests independently for moderate complexity products.
2. Can analyze usability test results to identify common issues and suggest improvements.
3. Understands how to recruit appropriate test participants and create test scenarios.
Level 3
Advanced
1. Leads the planning and execution of comprehensive usability testing strategies for complex systems.
2. Integrates quantitative and qualitative data to drive user-centered design decisions.
3. Provides actionable recommendations and collaborates across teams to enhance the overall user experience.
